Infant Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, light touch, hands-on therapeutic technique that works to decrease restriction and tension patterns, improves mobility, and function.
Infants with tight oral tissues – lip, cheek and/or tongue ties – often experience restrictions elsewhere throughout the body. The baby may be tight throughout the neck, restricted at the base of their occiput, may have a recessed chin, difficulty with breathing, exhibit stiffness or tension throughout the body, may have torticollis, an asymmetrical face, plagiocephaly (flat spots) on the head, cranial bone overriding, and so on.
CST may not directly treat oral ties, but it can help to reduce tension, increase mobility, improve alignment, release restrictions and holding patterns, improve latch to breast/chest or bottle, increase milk transference, decrease gas, reflux, colic and encourage well-being.
Craniosacral Therapy addresses the body holistically. Like any other modality, it is not a one size fits all and can benefit greatly from having complimentary care providers working to support families and infants on their journies.

Hello!
My name is Heather Wamsley.
I am a mama, Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Craniosacral Therapist and Doula in the Capital Region of New York.
For over a decade I have had the fortunate experience of working with expecting mothers and families. My journey began as a midwifery assistant in the Direct Entry Study of Midwifery. This was an opportunity to not only learn from incredible home birth and birth center midwives but also experience the midwifery model of care firsthand.
From the first to the fourth trimester, my primary goal is to approach individuals holistically and with great care. It is a privilege to walk alongside a family in these life changing moments, and my goal is to support physically, nutritionally, emotionally and spiritually.
I believe in every mother ´ s intuition and ability to birth and am in this work to support, educate and uplift each family so that they may feel empowered and assured as they move through their birth journey.
For the sake of transparency, my education is as follows:
*Associates in Human Services
*Completed the Herb Pharm Internship
*1 year Ayurvedic Mentorship
*1000 hour Foundations in Ayurvedic Herbalism
*Direct Entry midwifery studies over 3 years
*Observed births at Bumi Sehat, Bali
*500 hour Elemental Yoga Teacher Training
